It sucks, but has to be done.  Here's what you need to do.  Registration should be done before Sept 4th.
1)go to usarugby.org
2)hit the membership tab on the left
3)go to create/renew individual membership (enter your info- make sure you register for Toledo)
4)check all the boxes for the waiver (don't worry about printing a copy- I can get those later)
5)enter payment info.  This will register you for an entire year.

It should cost you $35 dollars.  This sucks, but USA rugby is forcing us to do this and will be checking our roster at all our league matches and playoffs.  If you want to be considered to play in any "A"side matches, you must be registered.  Any questions please contact Mantei.

The Celtics traveled well to the 10's tourney- with 17 lads making the trip.  The weather sucked, rained its ass off for most of the day.  We opened up the day with a 31-0 victory over the MAD dogs of Canton.  After thouroughly soaking the boots and jerseys,  Toledo took the pitch against the Cleveland Rovers in a precursor of our upcoming fifteens match.  Toledo started a little slowly, but again managed a decisve victory 21-5 punctuated by venarable prop Shabi's 40 meter rumble/breakaway  (and conversion).  The way things worked out, Toledo's next match was to be the championship match vs host Marion, as they were the only other undefeated team left in the seven team bracket.  Marion jumped all over Toledo in the first half, and the referee was a first rate turd, and the Celtics found themselves down early.  A fresh set of bodies at the half was enough to energize the soaked squad, and following another try by Shabi and stellar kicking effort by BCupp (75%), Toledo walked away with another solid victory, 31-12.  The tourney was a great way to get our many young players some quality experience.  Chris P played well in his first match and brand new Celtic Kayvin lead the scoring with three tries on the day in a very dominant running performance from the second row position.  Thanks to Joey Newton and Collin- a couple of BG players, who helped us out througout the summer and begin their college season next week at BG.

This Saturday, (Auggie 21st) we are taking a side to Bucyrus to participate in the 10's tourney.  The following are planned participants -JB, Sam, Ian, Suga, Bernie, BCupp, Blue, Mantei, Boytei, Khalfani, Wingman, Pat, Shabi, ChrisP and Mitch.  There are several more who are possible.  Toledo will be defending their title (and Bratwurst trophy) against the likes of Scioto Valley, Marion, Canton, ONU and our friends from the south- Findlay.  The carpool will be leaving Doc Watsons at 12:30.  First match is at 3:00 and the champioship will hopefully be played under the lights around 8pm.  A traditionally excellent social is planned which includes plenty of brats and corn and beverages, as well as live music and the brat festival itself.  Contact me if you need more info or directions- basically if you can find Bucyrus, you can find the tourney.

The team also has yet another departure-  Lance and D are both leaving this week to pursue  full scholarship to play rugby at Davenport University in Michigan.  Their talents and personalities will be missed.  Good luck gents, and congrats.  Hurry up and graduate so you can return to our team.

Info on the Key West excursion will be out in a week or two- Fosnaugh is in tlaks with the Key West guys.  Don,  we are returning to the Bucyrus Bratfest to defend our hard earned trophy this weekend.  We will be needing a manthong and lether harness/holster to rightfully claim it at the awards ceremony.  You gonna be around any time soon?
